Overseas tour Day 64 – NYD Manly

We started 2024 as we tend to do other years with a NYD walk.

After a leisurely stroll along Manly beach, we stopped at the Beach-house for some brunch and planned our route.

Amelia bowed out early, so decided to head up to the Q Station, the old quarantine centre for Manly which sits on the North Heads with great views out to ocean and back over Manly and the wider Sydney skyline.

Walking through this bush, we quickly realised how tropical and unfamiliar the trees and wildlife are.

We managed a decent hike of c. 10k over a couple of hours and got to see a different side to Manly to the one we have seen so far.

Our final stop was Little Manly where we grabbed a coffee and cake and watched the clouds over the bay looking forward to the promised return of the sunshine tomorrow!
